Background:     Reversible posterior leukoencephalopathy (PRES) or hypertensive encephalopathy syndrome was described in 1996 by Hinchey. Conclusion:   PRES findings on CT and MRI include areas of multifocal juxtacortical hypodensity, predominantly in parieto-occipital territories. This findings can be very nonspecific and may overlap with a high number of pathologies both in the clinical aspect and on the image.         [...]
